Fifteen adults graduated from their chosen Adult Education Career Programs in the spring of 2019. The Trade areas were Electrician, HVAC-R Technician, Precision Machining, and Veterinary Assistant.
Those pictured above from right to left include Justin Hoying and Aaron Pyles in Electrician, Mitchell Courts in HVAC-R and Joey Norris in Precision Machining. Students were accompanied by family and friends who had supported the students through the yearlong training programs.
Additional graduates include Cecil Collins, Nikki Crowell, Darrek Dortch and Dustin Schmermund in Electrician; Dale Shroyer in HVAC-R; Greg Atkinson, Timothy Bowman, David Ruhstaller, Johnson Than, and Erik Wilder in Precision Machining. Tyler Crosby finished his program in Veterinary Assistant.
Mike Sizemore, the Trades Coordinator, presented the passports. The MVCTC passport is a portfolio that includes a letter to employers from Dr. Nick Weldy, MVCTC Superintendent, a list of competencies and certifications attained by the student, a transcript reflecting grades and attendance during the program and a resume.
Congratulations to the students! Skilled Trades and employers in the Miami Valley area gained fifteen skilled technicians.
