Description
Facility is currently looking for Full Time, Part Time and PRN Positions. Come join our team as a state tested nurse aide at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. This rewarding position provides direct care to the patients in the facility and ensures excellent care delivery is performed on the nursing care units. The position ensures the needs of the residents and resident families during the care delivery process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct care and ADL needs for the patients/residents per the care plan.
Acts as part of the nursing care team to promote excellent care delivery to our patients
Documents care in the electronic medical record
Provides feedback for individualizing resident care plans
STNA QUALIFICATIONS
Meet the state eligible requirements for STNA
Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE
Must have a MA-C certification to function as a medication aide in a nursing home.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents.
Report any medication error, clinical issue or resident need that is unable to be addressed by this position to the charge nurse and/or nurse manager
Assists in developing and implementing procedures or programs of the facility that seek to determine what medication errors are taking place, when, where, and why they occur, and how they can be prevented.
Performs administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, documentation, etc., and submit these as may be required.
Maintains a friendly, productive, working relationship with other members of the department of nursing, attending physicians, the Medical Director, and pharmacists.
Attends and participates in care plan meetings as necessary. Participates in the development and implementation of the resident’s comprehensive assessment as necessary.
CLINICAL/DRUG ADMINISTRATION
Accurately and safely prepares, administers, and documents the oral, nasal, otic, ophthalmic, inhalation, and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director.
As necessary, accurately measures, records, and reports the vital signs of residents.
Verifies identity of patient receiving medication.
Follows facility procedures in regard to documentation and storage of medications.
Follows facility policies and procedures regarding the destroying of medications; assists in carrying out these rules under the direction of the facility pharmacist or Director of Nursing Services, including the documentation requirements.
Clarifies any order or treatment regimen as needed.
Orders medications; returning all discharge medications for credit in compliance with federal state regulations.
Maintains clean and orderly medication room and cart.
Completes any other required forms and documents in accordance with company policy state and/or federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active certification in the state to practice as a medication aide.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
Must provide documentation of such certification upon application for the position.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Pay Range & Benefits
STNA Pay $17 - $21.50 an hour based on experience and credentials. On top of those great base rates we offer additional shift differentials for evening and weekend shifts!!
Certified Med Aide Pay ranges from $22.00 - $26.00 an hour depending on licensure and experience, PLUS On top of those great base rates we offer additional shift differentials for evening and weekend shifts!!
