October EBITA Students of the Month

Fixing computers and going out of his way to help other students, producing high quality work on the way to making the honor roll and learning how to start a business, having perfect attendance along with being the FFA Treasurer and leading service projects, are all traits that earned three students from the Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department special recognition as the October Students of the Month.

James Lester (Wayne High School), from Computer Repair and Technical Support taught by Amy Sugden, was recognized for going above and beyond in the lab while also assisting as a valuable team member in helping other students.  His instructor stated, “He loves a challenge, especially when it comes to a computer that has an issue.  He has a great attitude and always gives 100%.”

Hannah Walters (Vandalia Butler High School), from the Veterinary Science program, taught by Dr. Christa Nealeigh, was recognized for leading service projects in FFA by being the current Chapter Treasurer.  In addition, Hannah is an exemplary model of school performance as she currently has perfect attendance while maintaining excellent scholarship.  Dr. Nealeigh stated, “Hannah also demonstrates excellent character by demonstrating kindness, maturity, and cooperation when working in the Veterinary Science Lab.”

Brittany McNutt (Franklin Monroe High School), from the Business Ownership program taught by Mandy Watts, was recognized for both outstanding scholarship and attendance.  Brittany recently made the honor roll for the first nine weeks and was praised by her instructor for always producing high-quality work.  Mrs. Watts stated, “Brittany maintains a positive attitude, assists other students in displaying teamwork, and she demonstrates a high standard of employability.”

James, Hannah, and Brittany each received a plaque to recognize their achievement along with a gift certificate from Hot Head Burrito.  Special thanks to Hot Head Burrito, 563 S. Main Street, Englewood, Ohio for sponsoring the EBITA Students of the Month for October 2016.
