Englewood, Ohio - The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture (EBITA) Department under the leadership of Supervisor, David Peltz, recognizes a Student of the Month each month during the school year. The award honors outstanding accomplishments and leadership in Career Tech Education.
January EBITA Students of the Month
Zane Brehm (Arcanum High School) and Mary Lauofo (Miamisburg High School) were selected as the January Student of the Month Winners from the Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department at Miami Valley Career Technology Center.
Zane Brehm was nominated by Diesel Power Technologies Instructor, Mr. Larry Seibel. In recommending Zane, Mr. Seibel stated, “Zane maintains a very positive attitude and works very hard in both the lab and class.” Zane also was selected as class vice-president and he maintains excellent attendance and scholarship.
Mary Lauofo was nominated by her Veterinary Science Instructor, Dr. Christa Nealeigh. In nominating Mary, Dr. Nealeigh stated, “Mary is a dedicated student to both her Veterinary Science Class and her FFA Chapter. She uses every opportunity to share her passion, knowledge, and experiences.” Mary serves as the Chapter Student Advisor and is also an MVCTC Student Ambassador.
Zane and Mary received a plaque to recognize their achievement along with a gift certificate from Hot Head Burrito. Special thanks to Hot Head Burrito, 563 S. Main Street, Englewood, Ohio for sponsoring the EBITA Students of the Month for October 2016.
For over 45-years, MVCTC has been providing career technical education for 27 partner school districts encompassing five counties in Southwest Ohio. MVCTC is dedicated to providing in-demand workforce training for youth, adults, and organizations in the Miami Valley.
