Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) On May 3, 2017, Zaccheaus Allen (National Trail), Jared Martin (Milton-Union), and Hayley Quinn (Northmont) passed a high-stakes industry exam and earned the rigorous CIW Site Development Associate certification.
All Digital Design students learn front-end web development and design using instructor-led materials, along with the CIW Site Development Associate courseware.
The Site Development Associate certification is typically pursued by adults working in the Information Technology industry. Students in Mrs. Massing’s Digital Design program are given the option to take the certification exam. Earning a certification improves their prospects in the high-demand Information Technology field. An industry certification can also be accepted as college credits at accepting institutions, such as Sinclair Community College, through prior learning assessment.
“The CIW Site Development Associate course prepares candidates to take the CIW Site Development Associate exam, which, if passed, earns the individual the CIW Site Development Associate certification. The 2015 annual mean salary of an IT professional who has been awarded the CIW Site Development Associate certification is $65,556. This salary was calculated based on the 14,000+ IT professionals who responded to the 2016 IT Skills and Salary survey that was conducted by Global Knowledge in September of 2015.” – CIW
