Englewood, Ohio - Recently Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Aviation Maintenance Technician students welcomed representative from GE Aviation Lafayette Engine Facility located in Lafayette, Indiana. The GE facility just opened in September 2015, and has been steadily growing with the large demand for the LEAP engines. GE is currently looking to hire 20+ A&P licensed Aviation Mechanics each quarter through the end of 2019. Current starting wage is $26.00/hour for newly certified A&P licensed candidates. MVCTC is one of few high schools in the state of Ohio that offers Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification in Airframe and Powerplant.
