“My best experience at MVCTC has been going out to different farms every Wednesday with my Vet Science program. During my time at these farms, I was able to get a feel for what it would be like being a large animal veterinarian. From drawing blood to lameness exams, we perform it all when at these farm experiences. Not only that, but I have also been able to work with donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, and draft horses! I have had so much fun on these field trips, and it has definitely been the best part of MVCTC so far!”
“Miami Valley CTC has greatly prepared me for my future. I have always wanted to study animal medicine and coming to MVCTC allowed me to start that dream early. I have learned important techniques, such as how to give injections and draw blood, that I will continue to use in vet school. Having this knowledge and skills under my belt will help me excel in college studies. MVCTC also allowed me to take college credit classes, which will reduce the number of classes I will take as a freshman in college. Lastly, I have been able to continue my participation in the National FFA Organization which has provided me opportunity to grow into the person I am today and learn valuable life skills. FFA has allowed me to meet new people and lead me to choose the college I will be attending! MVCTC has been one of the best choices I have ever made, and I am grateful for all it has given me!”
Chloee will graduate from Miami East in the spring of 2020 and plans to attend Wilmington College for Pre-Veterinary students and play on the Wilmington Women’s Soccer Team. Following her time at Wilmington, she plans to attend vet school and become a registered veterinarian specializing in large animal medicine.
