11/22/2019
Columbus, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter sent 50 students (five from each business career tech program) to the State Fall Leadership Conference in Columbus, Ohio. During the BPA trip, students attended the opening ceremony to introduce next year's state officers for BPA & DECA. After the opening ceremony, everyone split up and went into mini-sessions. The sessions were anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes long. The mini session varied from topics such as leadership and professionalism. The mini sessions included information from Ohio Business Week for Ohio University, the military (Army & Air Force), different colleges, insurance groups, etc. Several of the colleges that were there had tables set-up to share information about their programs with students. The State Leadership Conference was definitely a success and filled with the best students and staff.
MVCTC Sports Management and Marketing Senior, Anna Wilson (Tipp City), stated, “Attending events for BPA is really fun, I would go out of my way to be there for my fellow leaders and change the world one step at a time."
