Important Information Regarding ACT Testing Dates

Seniors Class of 2021:

Seniors will not report to MVCTC on Tuesday, February 23. Instead, seniors will have virtual assignments for their lab. Seniors will return to campus on Monday, March 1. Please work with your lab instructor regarding your virtual assignments for the day. The February 23, 2021 date is made a virtual learning day because state law requires schools to administer the state-funded ACT or SAT to all junior students. MVCTC will administer the ACT for juniors on Tuesday, February 23.

Juniors Class of 2022 (Testing at MVCTC):

State law requires schools to administer the state-funded ACT or SAT to all junior students. MVCTC will administer the ACT on Tuesday, February 23. As a result, Tuesday, February 23, juniors (Class of 2022) will report to MVCTC to take the test. After ACT testing ends, you will report to your lab for the remainder of the school day. Lunch will also be provided after testing. You will receive ACT information that lists specific test details such as your room number and schedule for the day in your lab and by email in the coming weeks. There will be a required Non-Test Activities pre-test registration session that will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2021. You will report directly to your testing location on both days. Attendance on these dates is extremely important as this is a one-time opportunity. Depending upon your partner school, you may not be eligible to receive a makeup opportunity.

Juniors Class of 2022 (NOT Testing at MVCTC):

State law requires schools to administer the state-funded ACT or SAT to all junior students. You will take the ACT or SAT at your partner high school. You will receive an ACT/SAT informational sheet in lab and by email that lists when each partner high school indicated they would be administering the exam. If your school is testing on a Thursday or Friday, your absence from MVCTC will be excused so you can return to your partner school to test. Please be sure to reach out to your partner school counselor or principal if you have not received any information regarding the ACT or SAT test.

The following partner schools/open enrolled schools do not test here (the dates given have been provided by the school, be sure to double check the dates with them should they have changed)

February 23, 8:05 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
- Juniors
  - 8:05 a.m. – 12:40 p.m. - ACT in assigned rooms
    - Will complete Non-Test Activities FIRST- begin testing by 9:00a.m.
  - 12:45 p.m. – 2:10 p.m. – Lunch for test takers
    - 12:45 p.m. – 1:10 p.m. (EAST: ALL, SOUTH: AN, NR, VS, WEST: AD, CR, CW, DD)
    - 1:15 p.m. – 1:40 p.m. (SOUTH: All Remaining, WEST: CO (A&B),CN, EC, GA (A&B), SP)
    - 1:45 p.m. – 2:10 p.m. (WEST: All Remaining, Testing Rooms 104, 174, 175
  - 2:30 p.m. –Dismissal

*Any Junior NOT testing here or with their home high school will continue with their scheduled remote learning day.
