Bethel-MVCTC STEM for grades 7-12 includes Design & Modeling, Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Automation & Robotics, PLTW Engineering Principals, Engineering Design, Robotics, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing. This past school year, Bethel-MVCTC STEM students built Electric Car Prototypes. Students were challenged with designing, 3D modeling, constructing, and testing a new fan-powered/electric car prototype. The car needed to move forward using a 9V battery and have at least one toggle switch for the motor. Students had to include a separate circuit with a switch or button that activated the LED headlights and taillight when pressed, have a minimum of 4 soldered electrical connections, must travel 50 feet, and must not exceed the materials budget of $50. Bethel-MVCTC Students Sam Blackburn and Eli Sherck are pictured testing their prototype.
We are dedicated to providing premier educational choices and advanced employment preparation for youth, adults, and organizations of the Miami Valley.
