Englewood, Ohio - Multiple members from the MVCTC FFA chapter are receiving their State Degrees this year at the Ohio FFA State Convention. The State FFA Degree is the highest degree the State FFA Association can bestow on a member. This degree is awarded annually at the State FFA Convention to those members who have met the minimum qualifications set forth by the Ohio FFA Association and National FFA Association. The golden charm of the State FFA Degree is the symbol of growth and development in the member's chosen occupation.

About FFA:

The letters "FFA" originally stood for Future Farmers of America. These letters are a part of our history and heritage that will never change. However, FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; it also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners, and more. For this reason, the name of the organization was updated in 1988 after a vote of national convention delegates to reflect the growing diversity and new opportunities in the industry of agriculture.
