College Credit Plus Informational Meeting
Thursday, September 12, 6:00 PM
Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is excited to announce an upcoming informational meeting about College Credit Plus (CCP) for current students who are not yet participating in the program. This meeting is a great opportunity for students and their families to learn more about how they can start earning college credit while still in high school. The meeting will provide detailed information about the program and explain how students can enroll for the spring semester or the next school year.
What is College Credit Plus (CCP)?
College Credit Plus is Ohio's dual enrollment program that allows high school students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. The goal of CCP is to enhance college readiness and provide students with various educational options while reducing the cost of attending college in the future. MVCTC partners with local colleges to offer CCP courses, allowing students to experience college-level coursework and earn credits that can be applied to their high school diploma and college degree.
Benefits of Participating in CCP at MVCTC
Students who qualify for CCP can enroll in courses offered by partner institutions such as Clark State Community College (CSCC) and Sinclair Community College (SCC). These courses cover a range of subjects, from core academic classes to electives, allowing students to get a head start on their college education. The program is free for students attending public schools in Ohio, meaning there are no costs for tuition, books, or fees when taking courses from public colleges or universities.
