On Friday, October 4, 2024, the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Career Exploration Coordinator Todd Engel, along with a group of enthusiastic MVCTC Student Ambassadors, participated in the Valley View Elementary Career Fair. The event, hosted at Valley View Elementary, provided students in grades K-6 an exciting opportunity to explore various career paths and connect with industry leaders through engaging, hands-on activities.
The fair offered students a chance to interact directly with professionals and students from different fields, gaining early exposure to potential career options. The MVCTC Student Ambassadors played a key role in creating fun and interactive activities that allowed the elementary students to experience aspects of different career-technical programs. From practical demonstrations to insightful conversations, MVCTC students showcased their passion for their respective fields while inspiring the next generation to start thinking about their future careers.
Mr. Engel expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "It was so exciting and rewarding to see the smiles on the faces of not only the Valley View Elementary students but also the Miami Valley CTC Student Ambassadors. It is a wonderful experience and opportunity for MVCTC's Career Technical students to share their excitement and passion through engaging conversations and activities to encourage elementary students to become more aware of various career options and to start thinking long-term about what they might want to pursue and plan for a possible career."
MVCTC would like to extend a special thank you to Valley View Schools and the Montgomery County Educational Service Center (ESC) for the opportunity to participate in such an impactful event. MVCTC continues to foster career exploration through these partnerships and inspire future generations.
