Career Camp is a FREE one-week exploration program designed to give students a hands-on experience in various careers to help them make good career decisions. For over 25 years, students from our partner schools have been attending the MVCTC Career Camp.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is an approach to learning that involves problem solving and critical thinking. STEM Camp is a one-week program for students from MVCTC's partner schools who are entering the 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Students select two programs out of the six offered and spend a full day exploring these career areas. Highly qualified math, science, career-technical instructors, and current MVCTC students will work with the campers in the MVCTC's state-of-the-art labs, as well as in some of our outside facilities, to develop exciting projects. Students will receive a t-shirt and receive a variety of STEM items. Registration is $50 if your child is a member of an associate school or $75 if not a member of an associate school.
VEX Robot Camp - June 24-26, 2015, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. for students entering 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th grades.
For students entering 7th - 10th grades, spend three days learning to design, build, and program a VEX Robot. This camp will give students the opporutnity to work in teams, problem solving and designing a robot to compete in VEX Robot Competitions. The camp will be under the guidance of highly-qualified MVCTC Robotics and Physics instructors. Students will receive a t-shirt and lunch each day. Registration is $50 if your child is a member of an
associate school or $75 if not a member of an associate school.
