Englewood, Ohio – Logan Dickison is a senior in the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Natural Resource Management program from Milton-Union. While attending MVCTC Logan has been an FFA Officer, Student Ambassador, National Technical Honor Society Inductee, and has participated in FFA contests.
When asked about his experience attending MVCTC, Logan shared, “Every experience at MVCTC was a blast. Having the opportunity to become a student ambassador really helped open doors. I had the chance to speak at several schools I had never been to. FFA also was an amazing experience. It gave me the ability to compete with people from all over the state in many competitions. The best part about MVCTC is that it showed me what the real world is like. Coming to MVCTC really opened me up to different types of people and helped me realize that not everyone is the same.”
Upon graduation in May, Logan will have earned college credit at Sinclair Community College and Clark State Community College. He plans to attend the University of Dayton to continue his education in Environmental Biology and Political Science. His career goals are to have a steady job that he enjoys and wakes up every day happy to do.
Logan shared, “MVCTC has prepared me for my future in many ways. It has taught me how to deal with co-workers even when you do not all agree on a subject. I have also learned to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to new experiences. I feel that this will help when it comes to college and future jobs. The biggest way that MVCTC prepared me for my future is that it taught me education is a continuing process and no matter how much knowledge you have; you never know everything.”
Logan is the son of Dana and Teresa Dickison of Pleasant Hill.
